Ensuring correct timezone settings on your handset/server
Article It is very important for NotifySync purposes that your timezones are set correctly on both your handset and your mail server. If your timezones are incorrectly set, this can lead to errors such as calendar items appearing on the wrong day and failing to validate your licence correctly.

Note regarding existing events and British Summer Time where your zone was set to a non-daylight savings zone such as Casablanca, Monrovia: If you have been adding calendar events under the Casablanca, Monrovia time zone, and it is currently British Summer Time, these events may jump one hour when you change the timezone to Dublin, Edinburgh, Lisbon, London. Although the event was previously added at the correctly displayed time, because the zone did not reflect summer time, the event will now appear one hour later in the day when you change the zone. In these instances, modify the calendar entries after you have changed the timezone. When your Blackberry next synchronises, the calendar events will move to the correct time.

Section 1 - Handset

Check the timezone your Blackberry is set to. Many UK supplied Blackberries have the timezone set to GMT Casablanca as the default as part of the Setup Wizard. This zone is not correct for BST (British Summer Time) for example, and can cause errors in the calendar. To check/change:

Open the Blackberry clock application
Press the Blackberry menu button
Go to Options
Under Clock, check what Home Time Zone is set to. For UK users, this should be set to Dublin, London (GMT).
If you need to change the Home Time Zone, highlight the current displayed time zone, press the Blackberry Menu button and select "Change Option". The full menu is displayed, select your correct Home Time Zone from the list. Note: For NHS users home time zone must be set to Dublin, London (GMT).
Secondly, once you have set your Home Time Zone, you now need check that your current time zone is set correctly.

From the main Blackberry screen, go to Options
Select Date/Time
Check the displayed Time Zone. Again for UK users, this should be Dublin, London (GMT).
To change the Zone if necessary, press the Blackberry menu button and select Change Option. Select the correct time zone from the list.
Notes:

The Home Time Zone should match the same timezone as your email server is set to.
Your current time zone can be set to the zone that matches your current physical location.
Both steps 2 and 3 must be followed, it may not be enough to only change the timezone setting from Options > Date/Time.

Section 2 - Server configurations

B) Kerio

Log in to your Kerio web mail system
In the top left, click on Settings
From the drop down menu, select Settings
Under the General tab, there is a Date and Time section. Check the "Time zone:" setting. For UK users this should be set to "(GMT +00:00) Dublin, Edinburgh, Lisbon, London"
If the timezone is incorrect, select the correct time zone from the drop down list and click OK to save the setting.
C) Outlook Web Access (Exchange Server)

Log in to your Outlook Web Access system
